On Tuesday, April 27, 2016, the General Command of Ras Al Khaimah Police – Electronic Services and Communications Department – in cooperation with the Public Resources Authority in Ras Al Khaimah, and with the participation of Itech Plus, organized a training workshop at the Media Center in the Police Headquarters building on the Himaya electronic system (Online).
The workshop targeted accredited service providers who had successfully completed the training courses previously held at the American University of Ras Al Khaimah since the launch of the implementation of the Himaya system.
His Excellency Engineer Yahya Jaber Al Shamsi, Acting Director General of the Public Resources Authority, explained that this workshop aimed to train accredited service providers on how to use the Himaya system to begin submitting establishment applications electronically through the Authority’s official website. He clarified that service providers would only need to visit the Licensing Department at Ras Al Khaimah Police to pay the prescribed fees and then receive the Technical Systems Safety Certificate.
Al Shamsi added that the electronic system facilitates the process of receiving applications and completing all procedures without requiring service providers to visit the departments concerned with the Himaya system. It also helps reduce the burden on service providers and business owners, saving both time and effort, while avoiding congestion at the Licensing Department of the Police General Command.
In conclusion, Engineer Yahya Al Shamsi extended his sincere thanks and appreciation to Ras Al Khaimah Police for their great efforts in implementing and applying the Himaya system, and for their continuous cooperation with the Public Resources Authority in all matters related to the enforcement of the Technical Systems Security Law (Himaya System), in order to achieve all of the system’s objectives.
